Lovely Sweet Dream

Welcome to Lovely Sweet Dream! An exploration game with a story to uncover and a game made for the Yume Nikki Dream Diary Jam 5! Inspired by Yume Nikki and LSD Dream Emulator. No knowledge of either game is needed to enjoy this one.

A girl called Lulu is walking home from school one day when she finds an interesting looking charm at a flea market. The box describes that the charm will give the user wonderful dreams. Intrigued, Lulu takes the charm home and it introduces itself as LOVELY. With LOVELY's power, Lulu can explore its beautiful and happy dreams.

Your goal is to simply explore however, there might be something special waiting for you if you collect five of LOVELY's presents.

If you are a returning player from version 1, please start anew with version 2.0 to get the best experience.

Controls:

Walk: Arrow keys or click screen

Enter menu and cancel: X/Escape key

Interact and confirm: Z/Enter

Run: Shift key

Use costume effect: Q

Guide:

Collect all nine costumes from presents gifted to Lulu by LOVELY. (Hint, they are yellow and white coloured)

Lulu can wake up and change costume in the items section of the menu. The wake up command and certain items are in the 'Key Items' section. A certain item - not costume - can teleport Lulu back to the Nexus.

There are five different endings to see based on items collected and choices made.

WARNING

Lovely Sweet Dream has aspects of horror, psychological horror and gore. At the beginning of the game there is an option to censor any blood or gore and this option can be changed any time at the computer in the bedroom.

The game also features themes and discussion of depression, suicide, death, murder and sexual assault. Imagery of these themes are also included but nothing blatant or sexually explicit. Please continue with caution if these themes may upset you.

General scary and unsettling imagery is also present as well as some jumpscare styled events. If loud noises affect you, please consider turning the volume down (though I have strived to make no extreme loud noises but some are louder than the regular bgm/bgs)
